A Nitro Type Story (Part  1)

You logon to Nitro Type and select your favorite vehicle, Buddy’s Snowmobile.  You then press that "Enter a Race" button. You arrive in the race with your favorite car.  A quick scan shows you are the first person here. You wait a few seconds wondering who will be your foe today. Will it be a random Nitro typist?  Or will it be a Nitro Bot?  The answer arrives in the form of one of your arch nemesis.  You instantly leap from you backrest and sit a little straighter.  You have raced this rival 20 times last week but have not seen this person since.  A certain part of you has been sadden to not see this person.  Now that you have, this is it!  It is the tie breaker to see who will emerge victorious in a best of 21.  

Soon another human competitor arrives at the starting line.  Now there are three of you and the anticipation builds.  You know that since the last two slots are missing for a few more seconds there is a chance it could be the mystical beast that will fill your coffers with $50,000 Nitro Dollars should you win.

Wait for it, wait for it.

You see Bender, a Bot arrive. You feel a little disappointed buy know that there will be many other opportunities. But wait! Suddenly a grey vehicle with telltale flame jutting out of its back shortly arrives.

Yes!  It is the Wampus!

The mythical beast is the perfect capstone to my race.  Now I have a direct competitor, two random competitors and the Wampus.  Each player that outraces the Wampus receives $50,000 in Nitro Dollars as a bonus.  That is a huge incentive since most races earn you $2,000 to $3,000 Nitro Dollars.

Now that countdown lights are on.  It is currently set on red light.  The word “Wait…” appears.  The first paragraph of the text appears.   Great news, it discusses science.  You love science so it helps to like the subject since you have a familiarity with many of the words.  Plus it has several strategically long words that you can benefit you as you will see.

You set your hands in your favorite starting position getting ready with the first capitalized letter.  You scan the first sentence.  It starts counting down through three yellows. 

Finally it reaches the green light and you blast off!
